The Wyoming Department of Health rolled out a free health tracking and management app for local families, the department announced Feb. 5.
The Wyoming Department of Health developed the app, called Family Health, through a collaboration with digital health company Wildflower Health. Wyoming residents who download the app are able to enter their zip code to find local resources offered by the department.
The app's features include profiles to monitor each family member's health milestones, a vaccination tracker and connections to the department's specialized care programs, such as the Wyoming Quit Tobacco Program.
Wyoming Department of Health officials said they hope the app helps to drive the department's public health goals, such as increasing rates of well-child visits and immunizations.
"Most families have someone who essentially serves as the 'chief health officer of the home' and they often need to track a lot of information and details," said James Bush, MD, the department's medical director for Wyoming Medicaid. "This app can help that person by making managing the health of each family member a little easier and more convenient."
