Winners of Microsoft Imagine Cup developed mHealth app

Microsoft has announced the winners of its 2014 Imagine Cup, a global student technology competition.

Two Australian medical students, Jarrel Seah and Jennifer Tang, won the Imagine Cup World Citizenship group this year for developing Eyenaemia, an mHealth app that screens eyes for anemia. Users can take an image of their eye and Eyenaemia analyses the image and calculates the risk of anemia, according to the Imagine Cup website.

The winners get to present their project to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates as well as $50,000 in winnings.
