Vocera Communications, a San Jose-based healthcare communications company, has met criteria for inclusion in the U.S. Department of Defense's Unified Capabilities Approved Products List.
The UC APL is a consolidated list of products that have passed interoperability and functionality testing, which DoD uses to ensure compliance and compatibility with other vendors. In this round of certification, DoD added Vocera's latest software release, which includes speech engine and functionality updates, and the Vocera B3000n wearable communication badge, which provides voice recognition.
Vocera's inclusion on the list allows DoD facilities to purchase and operate its software solutions at U.S. Army Medical Command facilities around the world.
