VillageMD introduced DocOS, a digital health operating system focused on primary care.
The platform extracts 3,700-plus clinical and financial data elements from EHRs, practice management systems, payer claims systems as well as other hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and socio-economic data sources. The platform aggregates and analyzes the data in real time, using it to predict missing diagnoses, analyze patient schedules and identify care gaps for clinicians to resolve.
DocOS leverages secure cloud services, open source frameworks and partnerships with technology companies, allowing it to gather data in all formats. It also features data normalization capabilities.
"The shift to a value-centered health system requires that physicians proactively manage conditions by anticipating what patients are going to need, early enough so that we can make impactful interventions. Our operating system is the conduit to help make this happen," said Clive Fields, MD, co-founder and CMO of VillageMD.
