VA awards Leidos $29M to modernize IT infrastructure

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs awarded Leidos a $29 million contract under the Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation vehicle.

Leidos, a Reston, Va.-based science and technology company, will provide development and maintenance support to the VA's administrative data repository, health data repository, VA/Department of Defense identity repository and veterans information solution under the task order.

The contract, which is a fixed-price task order, was developed to modernize the VA's IT infrastructure. The contract is the first in a series of long-term government initiatives to increase interoperability and data sharing between the VA, DOD and other external agencies.

The task order has a one-year base performance period, along with two one-year options. The total contract is valued at $29 million if all options are exercised.
