The University of Southern California Center for Body Computing in Los Angeles, has selected the first fellow for its new Digital Health Fellowship.
Andrew Keibel, MD, who recently graduated from the Keck School of Medicine, will participate in the inaugural 12-month fellowship focused on training and research opportunities related to digital health, including patient education, diagnosis and therapy.
USC CBC is the incubator of Keck Medicine of USC, and the fellowship is supported by a grant from Doctor Evidence, a partner at USC CBC's Virtual Care Clinic, a digital health platform developed at the incubator.
"For the last 12 years, we've led the country's top university-based research and strategic development partnerships for digital health, wearable tech and medical apps, so creating a fellowship specifically for digital health was a natural next step," said Leslie Saxon, MD, founder and executive director of the USC CBC and the fellowship supervisor, in a statement.
