Gainesville-based University of Florida Health has rolled out automated pharmacy kiosks to its emergency departments, which give patients access to more than 120 common medications.
Patients interact with a UF Health licensed pharmacist via video through the kiosks who can answer patient questions and provide guidance through the process, according to a May 15 press release from UF Health.
The kiosks accept all insurance types, including commercial insurance, Medicare and Medicaid. The machines do not dispense controlled substances, according to UF Health.
