The University of California, San Francisco Diabetes Teaching Center and QuantiaMD have created a mobile phone app to educate people about diabetes, according to a UCSF news release.
The app, DiabetesIQ, aims to help people self-manage their diabetes by providing an interactive game experience through the Droid, iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The app gives users multiple choice questions about diabetes, such as "How does regular daily exercise affect insulin?" and compares their answers to other users in real time.
