President-elect Donald Trump selected former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani to share "his expertise and insight as a trusted friend concerning private sector cybersecurity problems and emerging solutions developing in the private sector."
During his presidency, Mr. Trump may be holding occasional meetings with corporate executives of companies that have faced cybersecurity issues, according to a press release. Mr. Trump's administration asked Mr. Giuliani to initiate these meetings due to "his long and very successful government career in law enforcement and his now sixteen years of work providing security solutions in the private sector."
In addition to his previous political experience, Mr. Giuliani is the chairman of the global cybersecurity practice at Greenberg Traurig and the chairman and CEO of security consulting firm Giuliani Partners.
