Transmosis launches cybersecurity training program in Nevada

Transmosis, a company focused on technology research and application for the American workforce, established a cybersecurity training program in Southern Nevada.

The program includes 15 participants and will impart cybersecurity workforce education and skills training. The program intends to attract incumbent, displaced workers, minorities and postsecondary students. The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation noted a growing need for a workforce with information security skills.

The new cybersecurity program builds on the results of a previous Transmosis program in Nevada —  the City of Henderson IT Bootcamp, Externship and Job Placement Program — which was successful.

The cybersecurity program is funded through the STEM Workforce Challenge Grant offered by the State of Nevada Governor's Office of Science, Innovation and Technology.
