Although the market for electronic medical record systems is expected to grow at 15.1 percent every year for the next five years, much of that growth will be heavily dependent upon how user-friendly the systems are, according to a Kalorama Information news release.
According to the news release, font size, frame size and number of keystrokes for entry may make a difference in how many hospitals and physicians successfully adopt an EMR system. Other clinician complaints include needing to re-enter the same information more than once, important information being buried and confusion over the status of an ordered test.
