The Wisconsin Statewide Health Information Network has plans to begin adding hospitals this year and is "very close" to go-live, according to a report in the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel.
The statewide network will replace Milwaukee-area Wisconsin Health Information Exchange, suspended to allow WSHIN to develop, according to the report.
Many of the state's larger hospitals and health systems have committed to joining the HIE, according to the report.
