Specialists at University of Utah Use Telemedicine Robot to Provide Care at Community Hospital

Grand Junction, Colo.-based CommunityHospital and Salt Lake City-based University of Utah Health Care have announced they are partnering to allow specialists from University of Utah to treat patients at Community Hospital through the use of an iRobot, according to a Daily Sentinel report.

The iRobot features two-way video and audio that will allow the specialists at University of Utah to see and hear the patients and treating physicians at Community Hospital as well as read medical charts clearly, according to the report.

Through the partnership, Community Hospital patients will have access to specialists in neonatology, cancer care, advanced cardiovascular care, neuroscience, trauma and transplant services, according to the report.
