An emerging Boston-based cybersecurity firm received $100 million in funding June 21 from Japanese telecommunications firm SoftBank Corp., a subsidiary of SoftBank Group, reports CNBC.
Cybereason, which specializes in end-point detection, runs behavioral analytics on an organization's network to detect and respond to threats, according to the company's website.
Lior Div, co-founder and CEO of Cybereason, told CNBC the company will use the funding to expand its products, hire additional employees and increase its office space.
Cybereason has raised $189 million in funding to date, according to CNBC, with investment from Charles River Ventures, Lockheed Martin and Spark Capital. The company declined to disclose its valuation to CNBC.
