Clinicians at all 12 Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Health hospitals are receiving HIPAA-compliant smartphones.
These specialized devices are designed to streamline emergency department admissions, reduce hospital stays and enhance nurse response times, according to a Sept. 17 news release.
The smartphones also eliminate the need for clinicians to carry multiple devices, improving workflow efficiency.
Sentara plans to complete the smartphone rollout across its 11 Virginia hospitals by the end of 2024.
