Samsung Electronics America entered into a partnership with TigerText, a clinical communications solutions provider, to improve communication among care teams, the company announced Sept. 28.
Under the agreement, clinicians will be able to access TigerText's mobile communication and data integration capabilities on Samsung smartphones. The capabilities include TigerText's workflow engine, TigerFlow, which centralizes information from EHRs, nurse call and scheduling onto a mobile interface.
Samsung officials said the partnership will support hospitals looking to provide mobile devices to nurses and other caregivers for work-related activities.
"This industry-driven solution from Samsung and TigerText is designed to make clinicians jobs easier, by streamlining their communications so that they can focus on delivering the highest quality of care," said David Rhew, MD, CMO and head of healthcare and fitness at Samsung.
