Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Mercy Children's Hospital in St. Louis have partnered to launch a new telemedicine program.
Patients and providers at SFMC will be able to communicate with neurology and gastroenterology specialists at Mercy Children's Hospital through telemedicine, eliminating the need to travel for a consultation.
"It can be difficult for families who have children coping with serious health issues," said Cathy Abrams, RN, MS, director of maternal and child health services at SFMC, in a news release. "We want to make it easy as possible for them to seek care."
