The global market for healthcare information technology outsourcing is expected to grow to $50.4 billion by 2018, up from $35 billion in 2013, according to a report from RandR Market Research.
The growth will be driven by new federal health IT requirements and the ICD-10 transition, coupled with hospitals' lack of in-house IT personnel and an increasing patient population, according to the report.
