More than 21,000 eligible healthcare providers have registered in CMS' electronic health record incentive program, up from 13,000 registrants in January, according to a Government Health IT news report.
Of the 21,000 registrants, approximately two-thirds are ready to "attest" or confirm that they have met meaningful use requirements. The attestation module, which is set to launch in April, allows eligible healthcare providers to describe how they are meeting meaningful use measures. The module also allows providers who may not be ready to attest to input information to see if they pass or not, according to the report.
