The Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System portal is now officially live, according to a Healthcare IT News report.
Eligible hospitals and healthcare providers can now access the portal to register and participate in meeting Stage 1 of meaningful use. However, for the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program, only the following states are currently able to register through the portal:
• Alaska
• Iowa
• Kentucky
• Louisiana
• Oklahoma
• Michigan
• Mississippi
• North Carolina
• South Carolina
• Tennessee
• Texas
Registration will open to California, Missouri and North Dakota next month. The remaining states will likely launch their respective Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs throughout the spring and summer of 2011.
