Health IT company Open Health Tools and former National Coordinator for Health Information Technology Robert M. Kolodner, MD, are partnering with the Georgia Institute of Technology to promote the use of health IT, according to a Georgia Tech news release.
Open Health Tools and Dr. Kolodner, also chief health informatics officer for Open Health Tools, are working with Georgia Tech on an initiative that will include the government, healthcare providers and provider organizations, patient and personal health advocacy organizations, open source and commercial vendors, public health organizations, academic and non-academic researchers, start-up companies and entrepreneurs.
The initiative aims to generate collaborative projects that will quickly and inexpensively develop HIT innovations.
