Cloud-based EHR platform Practice Fusion has launched a new EHR for its users that is designed to work primarily on mobile platforms.
The company, which has more than 112,000 users, has received more than 20,000 requests for a mobile-based EHR. The updated product, designed by design and strategy firm Cooper, includes all existing features of the EHR but is built for iPads and Android tablets. It also integrates with Practice Fusion's patient portal, Patient Fusion, which allows patients access to their health records.
"Unlike our competitors who struggle to make a dated, legacy product work on a mobile device, we decided to build our industry-leading EHR from the ground up to deliver the best experience for our users," said Ryan Howard, founder and CEO of Practice Fusion in a prepared statement. "Beyond delivering the best looking and best responding cloud-based EHR on the market, with this new product we are now equipped to work even better with larger practices and enterprise partners."
