Free ambulatory electronic health record vendor Practice Fusion has signed 122 deals in 2014 to connect hospitals, health systems, clinical labs and imaging centers to Practice Fusion's cloud-based platform. The new partnerships bring Practice Fusion's total number of enterprise partners to 440.
More than 150 hospitals and health systems currently use Practice Fusion to connect with local and affiliated providers, improving data exchange capabilities and supporting clinical integration efforts.
"When we invested in Practice Fusion, digital health was at a tipping point. It was clear to us that Practice Fusion had the potential to be a true disruptor and to generate significant revenue," said Beth Seidenberg, MD, a general partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, in a news release. "The progress since the start of the year proves that Practice Fusion is a long-term player that can transform the healthcare ecosystem while staying true to its mission of bringing together physicians, patients and other healthcare participants to improve patient outcomes and save lives."
Practice Fusion has proven popular among physicians — it has been the top-rated EHR among primary care providers for the past five years, according to Black Book Rankings.
