About 96 percent of primary care physicians in Massachusetts have adopted an electronic health record system, according to a new report from the Massachusetts eHealth Institute.
In total, 80 percent of Massachusetts providers use EHRs. Primary care physicians had the highest adoption rates, followed by physician specialists at 86 percent.
Nationally, about 61 percent of physicians use EHRs, according to a report from the Berkeley (Calif.) School of Information.
