Peraton wins $2B contract to support Defense Health Agency's IT transformation

Technology company Peraton was awarded a 10-year contract of up to $2 billion to serve as the enterprise information technology services integrator for the Defense Health Agency's Military Health System.

Under the contract terms, Peraton is responsible for managing the Defense Health Agency's IT transformation services in a way that cuts costs. The contract was awarded to Perspecta Enterprise Solutions; Perspecta is a subsidiary of Peraton, according to the Aug. 10 news release.

"As DHA's Enterprise IT Services integrator, we are committed to delivering DHA's vision for standardized and integrated IT services that enable DHA's medical mission through decreased complexity, modernization, flexibility, and adaptability. We look forward to delivering an improved user experience and enhanced mission capabilities that drive mission success across the Agency," Tarik Reyes, Peraton president of global health and financial solutions, said.
