Outcome Health, a Chicago-based health technology startup, named Vince Panozzo executive vice president of sales.
The company installs flat screens and tablets in physician offices at no cost and charges pharmaceutical companies to run advertisements on the devices.
Mr. Panozzo, who joined Outcome Health in 2016 as the head of enterprise health solutions, will now oversee customer acquisition strategy as well as customer experience.
He previously served as senior vice president and chief revenue officer at Strata Decision Technology. Prior to being named chief revenue officer, he held a leadership role in client services, where he helped numerous large health systems — including Cleveland Clinic — implement financial systems.
Mr. Panozzo assumes the role a few months after the company was strongly criticized for misleading advertisers on the success of their ads' performances. As a result, a number of advertisers pulled "tens of millions of dollars in healthcare ads from Outcome Health," according to a Chicago Tribune report. Outcome Health COO Vivek Kundra resigned in November 2017, and Chief Engineering Officer Nandini Ramani was promoted to replace him a month later.
Recently, the state of Illinois suspended a tax credit agreement with Outcome Health.
