Oregon's health information exchange, CareAccord, now offers direct secure messaging to participating Oregon providers at no cost, according to a HIMSS News report.
Direct secure messaging is a system that allows participants to send encrypted health information directly to known, secure recipients over the Internet. The service is currently expanding to providers throughout the state after a successful test run in March.
