ONC updates certified health IT product landing page

The ONC updated its Certified Health IT Product List's landing page to create a more user-friendly portal, Steven Posnack, director of the ONC's office of standards and technology, wrote in an ONC blog post June 20.

The landing page now features various resource shortcuts, including lists of banned developers, decertified products and products under corrective action, in which users can view products with their identified non-conformitities.

Another shortcut, related to application programming interfaces, provides users with a list of all 2015-certified products OK'd on one or more of the ONC's three criteria that require API functionality.

Prior to this update, users interested in this information would have had to manually build a search filter on the Certified Health IT Product List website.

"The updated CHPL resource shortcuts will enable providers, third party app developers and other stakeholders to better engage with the rich and informative data reported through the certification process," Mr. Posnack wrote.

The ONC will continue to add resource shortcuts to the landing page, according to Mr. Posnack.
