The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT has contracted a California production company to explain to consumers via video the value of HIT, according to an mHIMSS report.
The animated video will run for three to five minutes, while shorter versions will be made for YouTube and other outlets. The video is ONC's latest move in its efforts to engage consumers in their healthcare and increase their awareness of HIT's relevance to their care.
ONC is also planning a crowd-sourced video contests to illustrate personal experiences using HIT in managing their healthcare.
