The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology has released a health information exchange toolkit for rural health stakeholders, including state offices of rural health, rural hospitals and rural health networks, according to a Healthcare IT News report.
The toolkit includes a set of HIE resources, such as information regarding the first steps in forming or joining an HIE, security requirements for organizations participating in an HIE and an HIE return on investment calculator.
