Arien Malec has resigned as coordinator of the Direct Project and the Standards & Interoperability Framework at the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, according to a Health IT Buzz report.
Mr. Malec is leaving the ONC to return to the private sector.
Jitin Asnaani will become coordinator of the S&I Framework and will serve as interim coordinator for the Direct Project.
