According to data recently released by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, 64 percent of eligible hospitals that have successfully attested to meaningful use stage 1 used a primary vendor with a 2014 Edition Certified EHR Technology product, needed for stage 2 attestation.

Of the 991 vendors with a certified 2011 Edition product, 56, or 6 percent, served as the primary vendor for hospitals obtaining meaningful use stage 1. Of these 56 vendors, 15 (27 percent) also have a certified 2014 Edition product.
