New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health has entered into an agreement with the Israel Innovation Authority to develop, validate and implement medical technologies that advance patient care.
Hospital officials said the alliance, which is part of the hospital's broader effort to invest in new technologies and business models, will engage its clinicians and administrative staff to deploy innovations that improve care quality.
The hospital's corporate venture arm, Northwell Ventures, and the Government of Israel Economic Mission, which promotes collaboration between Israeli and American industries, organized the agreement.
IIA is an independent public organization responsible for Israel's innovation policy. It advises the Israeli government and parliament and represents hundreds of medical technology startups in Israel.
