North Shore-LIJ Health System, based in Great Neck, N.Y., has signed a letter of intent to pursue a joint venture with Newport Health Solutions, an IT and consulting company.
Through the partnership, North Shore-LIJ and Newport Health will further develop and commercialize Newport Health's population and network management platform Health Connect.
The health system and Newport Health will develop a new company to develop and implement the platform at other hospitals within the North Shore-LIJ network and in third-party hospitals.
