New York to be First State to Launch Health Data Portal

Nirav R. Shah MD, New York's Health Commissioner, has announced New York will launch a health data portal this year, making it the first state to provide patients access to their personal health data via a portal, according to a New York Daily News report.

Through the health data portal, patients will be able to access and download their information from New York's health information network and the state's payer database, according to the report.
