NJSHINE, a health information exchange serving seven counties in the southern part of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Health Information Technology Extension Center have announced a partnership to bring more physicians into the data exchange efforts.
The collaboration aims to bring more physician practices to NJSHINE and introduce them to resources offered by the regional extension center to implement the necessary technology.
"NJSHINE provides a provider and a patient portal to facilitate patient care in our communities," said Richard Wheatley, CIO of Cape Regional Medical Center in Middle Township, N.J., and treasurer of NJSHINE, in a news release. "NJ-HITEC's track record of practice transformation and presence throughout New Jersey is well known. Working with NJ-HITEC allows us to reach out to physicians in an efficient and consistent manner."
