The Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha is using telemedicine to treat Ebola patient Richard Sacra, MD.
Dr. Sacra contracted Ebola in Liberia and was transported to The Nebraska Medical Center's Biocontainment Patient Care Unit. Physicians interact with Dr. Sacra using video conferencing while he is in the unit.
According to a Reuters report, the biocontainment unit is one of four in the country equipped to care for patients with highly contagious diseases.
