MyMedicalRecords, owned by MMRGlobal, has announced legal action against WebMD for alleged patent infringement.
The suit claims WebMD is infringing upon two of MMRGlobal's personal health record patents. MMRGlobal had originally filed the complaint in February, which was dismissed to allow the companies more time to work out a solution. MMRGlobal has now refiled the litigation as a resolution was not achieved.
Last month, MMRGlobal filed a similar suit against Allscripts, claiming FollowMyHealth and other patient-facing solutions from Allscripts violate eight U.S. patents held by MMRGlobal.
