Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston has launched a telehealth program using Epic's telehealth and virtual care workflows that are integrated with Vidyo's video communication platform.
By integrating Vidyo into Epic's platform, providers can conduct telehealth consultations enabled by Vidyo that are within the Epic applications and workflows they are already used to using.
"Vidyo allows for our providers to access care from a wide variety of locations and the level of integration with our Epic system on mobile and desktop applications is necessary to make workflows seamless across the continuum of care," said James McElligott, MD, medical director for teleheatlh at MUSC, in a statement.
