In the last month, Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CIO and chief technology officer moves as well as other executive moves affecting health IT companies and federal agencies.

1. Modernizing Medicine appointed Joe Harpaz as president and COO.
2. Ken Kawamoto, MD, PhD, associate chief medical informatics officer at Salt Lake City-based University of Utah School of Medicine, and Steven Lane, MD, clinical informatics officer at Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health, will co-chair the federal Health IT Advisory Committee's new Interoperability Standards Priorities Task Force.
3. Ryan Smith resigned from his post as senior vice president and CIO of Phoenix-based Banner Health, completing his five-year tenure.
4. Omaha, Neb.-based Methodist Health System selected Kent Sona to serve as vice president of IT and CIO.
5. Former Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove, MD, joined the Google Cloud team as an executive adviser to its healthcare and life sciences divisions.
6. Cincinnati-based UC Health named Aimee Cordrey chief privacy officer.
7. DirectTrust named Scott Stuewe, director of national interoperability strategy at Cerner Network, president and CEO.
8. Three executives leading IT operations left Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health. The three leaders who left are:
- Senior Vice President and CIO Jonathan Manis
- Chief Information Services Operating Officer Stuart James
- Director of Information Services Finance Randy Davis
9. Google and its sister companies have added at least six former hospital executives to their leadership teams in recent months.
10. Jeff Immelt, executive chairman of athenahealth, joined the advisory board of Collective Health, a software startup whose product helps manage employee health benefits.
11. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health tapped 17-year information management veteran Kathy Ross as its new CIO.
12. Lumiata, a provider of AI-powered health analytics, appointed Dilawar Syed CEO.
