SINAInnovations, an annual innovation conference at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, kicks off Oct. 25, and this year's conference includes a new developer challenge.
This is the fifth year of the conference, and the theme is "Therapeutic Discovery." The conference features two days of panel discussions, breakout sessions and keynote addresses. Topics will include drug development in academic, health disparities and drug discovery in the developing world, clinical trial advances and many more.
"As we embark on our fifth year of SINAInnovations, Mount Sinai remains deeply committed to innovation and discovery. This conference brings together great minds and thought leaders in both medicine and technology, with the ultimate goal of improving human health globally and locally," said Scott L. Friedman, MD, dean for therapeutic discovery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and director of the conference.
This year, the conference is featuring a satellite event called SINAIMedMaker Challenge, held the week prior to the conference, where multidisciplinary teams will develop solutions to manage, monitor and treat pain and fatigue. The winning team will present its solution at the end of the SINAInnovations conference.
