Mount Sinai establishes precision medicine center

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York has received a $5 million gift from Joshua and Marjorie Harris, establishing the Harris Center for Precision Medicine.

Mr. Harris is a co-founder of Apollo Global Management.

The Harris Center for Precision Medicine is part of the Icahn Institute for Genomics and Multiscale Biology.

"I am honored to establish this new center to support groundbreaking research and innovation at the frontier of health and wellness," Mr. Harris said in a statement. "It is an extraordinary opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives."
