More than 60 percent of Florida physicians who treat Medicaid beneficiaries are interested in applying for financial incentives for electronic health records, according to an article published in Health Affairs.
In addition, 86 percent of Florida Medicaid physicians who already use EHRs plan to apply for funding.
Those who are not planning to apply for incentives indicated the following factors as obstacles:
- cost — 69 percent
- insufficient information about the incentive program — 42 percent
- uncertainty about what system to acquire — 42 percent
