MIT Medical, an ambulatory care center affiliated with Cambridge-based Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will deploy clinical, financial and population health management systems from Cerner.
MIT Medical will roll out Cerner platforms at both of its locations — Cambridge and Lexington — which serve more than 20,000 students, faculty, staff and retirees affiliated with the university.
MIT Medical will implement the Cerner Millennium EHR and the company's population health management tool, called HealtheIntent, which will aggregate and normalize data from various sources in real-time to help clinicians identify gaps in care.
"We're looking forward to the many ways this new system will improve our patient experience here at MIT Medical," said Cecilia Warpinski Stuopis, MD, medical director at MIT Medical. "We expect that the system's increased efficiency for our providers, frontline staff and business office will eliminate many of the day-to-day frustrations our employees now experience."
