Midtown Outpatient Surgery Center in Delray Beach, Fla., implemented the ASC Cloud EHR solution from Dallas-based Surgical Notes, a national provider of revenue cycle solutions and services for ambulatory surgery centers and surgical hospitals.
With the EHR solution, users may manage their clinical, quality and financial reporting, according to a news release. Surgical Notes said ASC Cloud is designed to help ASCs "capture clinically rich data at the point of care using their familiar workflows and forms with sophisticated mobility tools that include the Apple iPad." Among the solution's numerous features is "co-pilot" technology, which offers real-time alerts aimed at ensuring proper documentation.
"Midtown prides itself on being a unique, highly specialized surgery center," Chuck Meisel, vice president of sales for Surgical Notes, said in the release. "When the facility approached us to learn more about ASC Cloud, Midtown was like the vast majority of surgery centers, documenting on paper and using different forms and chart packs for its specific specialties. The ASC's leaders stated a desire to be on the cutting edge with technology. More importantly, they wanted to improve their clinical documentation. ASC Cloud met both of these objectives."
