Microsoft seeks software engineer focused on FHIR

Microsoft posted a job opening for a software engineer to work on a new project team focused on open source development for healthcare interoperability, the Politico Morning eHealth newsletter reports.

The company is specifically looking to add a senior software engineer with a background in Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources, an interoperability standards framework commonly known as FHIR.

The new hire will "contribute to specifications and implementation guides that enable apps and services to access data from diverse systems supporting clinical care, research, public health and consumer access," the job listings states, as well as "develop prototypes, demonstrations and reference implementations that support the healthcare data standards community."
