Microsoft Innovation Center has partnered with aeternity, an open source blockchain, to support blockchain workshops.
During the workshops, participants will learn about the business and product development of blockchain. Participants will also delve into the features and programming language of blockchains.
Additionally, with the partnership Microsoft will support aeternity's global accelerator program Starfleet. Within the accelerator program, 10 blockchain startups will be selected to receive an additional five weeks of mentorship.
"After all the hype there has been about blockchain in recent years, now is the time to demystify all the doubts there could still be about this technology. We are very proud to have aeternity on board as our second Microsoft Innovation Center partners," said Mary Downing, manager of Microsoft Innovation Center. "Having aeternity promote and nurture blockchain startups from the Microsoft Innovation Center will not only bring more flexibility development of new technology but will also be an opportunity to promote blockchain as a tangible technology that brings real value."
