Microsoft develops Windows operating system for big data

Microsoft is planning to use computer chips made in development with ARM Holdings for its cloud servers, according to Bloomberg.

Microsoft, also in collaboration with Qualcomm and Cavium, has already created a new model of its Windows operating system to run on servers using these computer chips. Microsoft is testing these computer chips for services such as artificial intelligence, big data and storage.

Although Microsoft is rolling out these machines into its data centers this year, the company hasn't released a timeline for when it expects to make the processors available to customers, according to Bloomberg.
