mHealth Market to Hit $20.7B by 2018

The global mHealth market, currently valued at $6.6 billion, is expected to hit $20.7 billion by 2018, according to a report from R&R Market Research.

Connected medical devices, such as cardiac monitoring and diabetes management devices, will represent about 80 percent of the market.

While app usage will continue to increase among both healthcare professionals and consumers, the low cost of most apps means this segment will not significantly affect the overall market value.
