Hagerstown, Md.-based Meritus Health will invest nearly $100 million over the next five years to transition its EHR to Epic, reports Herald-Mail Media.
Meritus Health will go live on the Epic EHR in one "big bang" next summer, Joseph P. Ross, president and CEO of Meritus Health, told Herald-Mail Media.
Meritus officials have begun bringing patient medical records together to create a single identity for each patient, he added. Patients might currently have a different record for each provider he or she sees in the health system.
